SurfAid International Vacancy: Program Manager & Roving Watsan Engineer - Indonesian
SurfAid International is a nonprofit organization working towards healthy and resilient communities in remote areas connected to us through surfing. We have community based health programs in Nias, Mentawai and Bima.We have recently merged with the Sumba Foundation Australia and as a result we are preparing for a new program in Sumba.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, community orientated and driven Indonesian citizens to become;

PROGRAM MANAGER- SUMBA
To manage the research, program development, implementation and successful delivery of a new  SurfAid Sumba Program in line with SurfAid values.The Program Manager is expected to develop the program, develop a sustainability and exit strategy for the current projects and set up the office in Sumba Barat. The current projectsare Clean water facilities and distribution of Malaria nets. We are keep to develop this further into water and sanitation, mother and child health, and malaria programs.

Minimum Qualifications;
  • Bachelor degree in social development, or water and sanitation, or public heath
  • More than 5 years’ experience as Program Manager in a non profit organisation
  • Proven track record in program management and people management
  • Strong report writing skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Experience in building personal network at senior level
  • Willing to work in remote areas
  • Good knowledge on key trends in health promotion and social marketing is a plus
ROVING WATSAN ENGINEER

To support the SurfAid programs in monitoring and improving the existing and designing and implementing new water and sanitation projects in SurfAid target locations. This also includes setting standards for implementation, capacity building for SurfAid staff, community members and water committees

Minimum Qualifications;
  • Bachelor degree civil engineering/architecture
  • More than 5 years’ experience in designing and implementing water and sanitation projects together with community members, according to the latest industry standards
  • Strong CLTS back ground
  • Cultural sensitivity and excellent skills in working with communities
  • Willing to travel to SurfAid watsan locations accross Indonesia
