MAP is a UK-based charity which works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. Established 30 years ago, MAP works with local partners to provide health care to Palestinians worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement. With offices in London, Beirut, Gaza City and Ramallah, MAP responds rapidly in times of crises, and works directly with communities on longer term health development.

It will involve writing proposals and reports, support for programme managers, liaison with other agencies and arranging and supporting visits, permits and visa applications. The post will also provide exposure to the wider working and coordination mechanisms of the UN and international NGOs working in the context of an on-going conflict and prolonged occupation.

The position may be of particular interest to recent Masters graduates in humanitarian, international development or Middle Eastern studies, or prospective students, or those wishing to pursue further studies who require appropriate field experience to complement their studies.

You must be resilient and resourceful, comfortable with the idea of living in a conflict zone. You will have good first degree and preferably a higher degree in development studies or equivalent.
