advisors works with local partners to equip communities, businesses and organisations
with the tools, knowledge and connections they need to increase their incomes
and gain access to basic services – empowering them to break the cycle of
poverty and guide their own development.
To contribute to the
development of a vibrant dairy sector in Indonesia which is centralized in Java
island, SNV Indonesia will have partnership with private partners to implement
some technologies to improve practice in the core aspect in dairy to increase
milk production, milk quality and safety and green milk for eco-friendly
practices.
SNV Indonesia will be
active in Malang, Boyolali and Wonosobo districts. To support the projects, SNV
is now seeking highly qualified national candidate to fill in the position of Field
Officer to be based in Boyolali and Wonosobo district.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of
Agriculture Advisor, the Field Officer will carry out activities for SNV-dairy
Program. S/he will:
- Work supporting the development of the dairy sector in Indonesia
- Support baseline studies, market assessments and value chain analysis of the local dairy economy.
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with farmers, private sector partners and others.
- Conduct research; provide information and data necessary for reporting and steering the project.
- Prepare timely project progress reports and project references
- Assist in training & workshop for dairy project.
- Support SNV’s work more broadly as required
Candidate profile
- Minimum Diploma degree in animal husbandry, agriculture, economics, agricultural economics, agribusiness, business management or other relevant discipline
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working in value chain development in Indonesia or farmer training, preferably with livestock.
- Results orientated with an entrepreneurial attitude.
- Experience in developing marketing for farmer products.
- Some communication skills in English is an advantage.
- Proven experience in report writing and monitoring and evaluation.
- Having experiences works with NGO for rural livelihood projects.
- Originally from the district target is an advantage.
- Willing to stay and reside in the target area.Willing to travel if needed.
- Able to work with minimum supervision
Duty station: Boyolali and Wonosobo
Contract duration: 6 months contract with the possibility of extension.
Desired start date: As soon as possible.
