Turtle Conservation Centre seeks Marine specialist to lead our team
Location: Indonesia
The Green Lion seeks a dynamic
hands-on manager who is genuinely passionate about working with animals
and an expert in marine conservation. At our turtle center we take are
of our injured turtles. The center also fulfills educational purposes.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Taking care of our resident turtles
- Supervision and leading our turtle team and group of international volunteers
- Coordinate project activities and project local logistics
- Liaise with locals and stakeholders
- Organise/ conduct additional project (awareness) activitie and courses for volunteers and visitors
- Organise and/or conduct possible other project activities; English class, fund-raising activities, creating materials for a displays at the conservation center, workshops, etc.
Requirements:
- To meet this task a person should have minimum of a bachelor's degree in Conservation or Marine Biology or comparable.
- You are required to be flexible to work closely with other team members when required
- We seek a serious candidate who is long-term orientated and has leadership to manage
- Experience of living/working in remote locations would be an advantage (desirable)

Desired:
- Previous experience of turtle monitoring and preferably experience in turtle tagging (desirable)
