Peaceful Change Initiative Job Vacancy: Programme Manager - Gaziantep, Turkey

Urgently Required – Turkey-based Syria Programme Manager:

Peaceful Change Initiative (PCi) is looking for an experienced NGO staffer to administer our Syria programme.

Our programme provides essential assistance to vulnerable groups in Syria, by increasing safety, by reducing the threat of violence, and by helping communities to meet their everyday needs. This work is an organisation priority, and we are looking to increase capacity of the programme by finding an excellent country manager who is able to join at short notice.

You will be based in Gaziantep in Turkey as part of a small team. Your position will be very hands-on and will require you to:
  • Work closely with our Syrian NGO partner to complete our intensive reporting requirements to our donor 
  • Coordinate the delivery of PCi resources to the programme
  • Maintain the Gaziantep office from an administrative and security perspective
Your position will require you to keep on top of project requirements, and deliver detailed financial and M&E reports based on information coming out of a conflict-zone. To accomplish this you need to work with a geographically distributed PCi team, and also work closely with partner organisations trying to do a huge amount with limited resources in a difficult environment.

You will need excellent attention to detail, a can-do attitude, result-focus, emotional intelligence & self-awareness. You are likely to have experience with NGO accounting.

The contract is from Dec 1st 2015 to March 31st 2016 . Our budget for this position is GBP 3500 per month and accommodation & insurance are also covered by PCi.
