CARE International in Myanmar is looking to fill the new position of WASH Program Officer in our Myanmar Country Office. This position is responsible for leading the assessment, design and implementation of the water, sanitation and hygiene activities of CARE’s Rakhine State projects. It plays an important role in building the technical and project management capacity of staff and stakeholders to ensure CARE’s effective contribution to our rural development projects in this region.
To perform highly in this role and to compliment your strong WASH technical experience, you will have strong communication, relationship management and interpersonal skills. Your initiative, ability to respond effectively to challenges and management experience will be highly regarded. Your attention to detail and proven organisational and time management skills will be complemented by your ability to manage workflows and balance competing priorities to ensure timely processing to meet deadlines and budgets. Your high-level of awareness of environmental health issues as applied to emergency settings, with special attention to the needs of women and children will set you apart from others.
