Alliance for Financial Inclusion Job Vacancy: Program Manager, Member Relations - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
The Program Manager, Member Relations, reports to the Head, Member Relations and Network Management. He/she is expected to take the leading role in managing the Maya Declaration program and the AFI online community (Member Zone) and develop and implement strategic and targeted member communication.

Maya Declaration
  • Implement the 2016-2018 strategy for the Maya Declaration
  • Ensure that the objectives and deliverables set out in the strategy are appropriately reflected and aligned with AFI’s Corporate Strategy as well as in relevant teams’ strategies;
  • Take the lead in managing, coordinating, and tracking all the activities set out within the action plan;
  • In close collaboration with the Communications team, lead activities related to communication and advocacy of the Maya Declaration brand;
  • Develop key messages and targeted advocacy material to promote the initiative across different audiences;
  • In collaboration with AFI’s monitoring and evaluation team, manage appropriate tracking tools and reporting systems that will accurately and comprehensively showcase members’ progress and how these are supported by AFI’s services and activities;
  • Lead the design, development and publication of the annual Maya Declaration Progress Report published in time for the Global Policy Forum;
  • Provide inputs to the development of AFI’s Online Data Portal and ensure that this platform is optimized for the comprehensive data collection and monitoring of members’ commitments and their progress;
  • Highlight and promote the work of members recoded in the Portal as it relates to the Maya Declaration.
Communications/Marketing
  • Build AFI’s corporate identity and manage AFI’s reputation vis-à-vis AFI members
  • Lead efforts to analyze AFI individual members and their engagement for the purpose of segmentation and targeted communication
  • Develop and update AFI’s value proposition and key messages for AFI membership
  • Develop targeted marketing material for ensuring members see value for money
  • Oversee strategic planning for member correspondence and manage the internal correspondence procedure
  • Draft targeted member correspondence
  • Organize and identify content for the Member Connect newsletter.
Member Zone
  • Develop a strategy for engaging members on the Member Zone
  • Manage and grow the online community of AFI members
  • Lead efforts to generate relevant and targeted content on the Member Zone
  • Oversee user rights and policies of the Member Zone
  • Ensure Member Zone content is aligned with global communication efforts
  • Engage with members in the Member Zone by posting regular and original content
  • Work across different teams to ensure internal support for and participation in Member Zone usage.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have an advanced university degree in development, international relations, political sciences or other relevant fields and at least five years of work experience, ideally in an international setting. You have experience in managing and coordinating cross-cutting initiatives for development, and relationship management with external stakeholders in a global context. Experience in developing marketing material for external audiences and managing online communities is essential. You also have excellent project management skills. A good understanding of financial inclusion policy issues and economic development as well as the socio-economic conditions in the countries that make up the AFI network would be an asset. You are analytical, highly organized, with great attention to detail, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are an inspiring team player, a consensus builder, and you have strong interpersonal skills. You are fluent in English. Proficiency in French and/or Spanish is a plus.
