Sessional Community Project Gardener

£12 per hour sessional/part-time

Environmental regeneration charity Groundwork London is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Sessional Community Project Gardeners to develop and deliver food growing, community gardening and nature conservation workshops to residents and community groups.

You will have excellent communication skills that will enable you to support, advise and encourage people to enjoy gardening and lead a more active lifestyle through workshops, healthy eating and cooking programmes, events and one-to-one support.

Using your knowledge and understanding of food growing and horticulture, you will be responsible for establishing and developing community gardening groups, equipping them with the skills to sustain projects and helping to deliver group volunteering events. A creative thinker, you will lead on the design and physical creation of new community gardens, and inspire people to improve outdoor spaces using recycled materials.

Hours will be variable depending on the needs of our work programme and will include evening and weekend work. Groundwork London manages a pan London programme of community gardening projects, and delivery will be across all regions of London.  Ideally, you will be available for immediate start.

A full driving licence is essential.
