Responsible to: Chief Analyst

Working Hours: Full time

Contract: One year initial contract, with strong possibility for extension subject to funding. 3 month probation period, 6 week notice.

About us: Trygg Mat Tracking Foundation (TMT) was established in 2013 to contribute to the reduction of illegal fisheries internationally. TMT collaborates with and provides intelligence and analytical capacity to governments and international organisations, in support of fisheries enforcement actions and broader improvements in fisheries governance. We work with governments and organisations worldwide but particular focus is on illegal fishing in African waters and supporting monitoring, controls and surveillance (MCS) capacity in African coastal States. Cooperation is both bilaterally, and through two regional initiatives, FISH-i Africa (involving eight countries in East Africa) and the West Africa Task Force (involving six countries in West Africa).

The Role: Close cooperation and capacity building with our partner countries is a cornerstone of our work. Equally important is the generation and analysis of intelligence gathered from the field, which can then inform MCS actions. We are recruiting a Field Analyst who will actively support our West African partner countries to achieve these objectives.
