Position: Project Manager - Global Finance Systems
Location: London, Johannesburg, Nairobi
Duration: 2 year Fixed Term Contract (possibility for extension)
Salary: £36,035 per annum

Use your extensive experience of project and financial management to spearhead the development of our new mission critical financial management processes which support all staff with a set of core business practices, roles, and responsibilities.

Join us and you will be part of a global team working alongside communities to create long-term positive change for poor and excluded people. Your remit will be to deliver robust, accurate and transparent processes and systems with clearer roles and responsibilities across the whole financial management cycle.

We will look to you to deliver harmonised business processes for financial management as well as oversee the development of a federation-wide IT platform to support business processes. You will also ensure alignment with other core systems projects being implemented to provide effective and efficient cross-functional working. This will involve taking responsibility for project design, coordinating team resources, setting up monitoring and evaluation processes as well as stakeholder management and communications. You will develop and implement our internal financial management processes. You will also lead user acceptance testing and take responsibility for the implementation phase across the organisation including training and support for all countries.

You must have significant project and financial management experience, and ideally a recognised qualification such as PRINCE 2. You must have developed and implemented new systems in a financial management environment and be comfortable managing complex and geographically diverse projects. Experience of working with SUN financial systems will be considered an advantage. You must also have experience in financial management at a level needed to understand the needs of the users and engage on process and systems discussion to bring solutions to current challenges. Your expertise will cover developing and implementing business processes with Information and Communications Technology and management information systems, preferably in the NGO sector. You must have very good communication skills and a high standard of English. Excellent at building relationships you can demonstrate the ability to work diverse stakeholders at all levels of seniority. You will also be willing to travel as the project requires.
