OXFAM GB Job Vacancy: Emergency Response Manager - International

Oxfam’s Global Humanitarian Team is looking for an Emergency Response Manager to join our elite team.

As a Programme Manager, you will be typically responsible for managing a specific programme area, typically teams from 10 – 100 people including technical experts (such as Water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH), food security and a range of support services) and manage budgets up to £3 million. You will work with limited supervision and autonomously sets programme level objectives. You might also be deployed at capital level to coordinate a country-wide emergency response.

You will be part of a team of approximately 80 HSPs members comprising various different technical functions, and you will be deployed by Oxfam’s Global Humanitarian Team. Sometimes you will be deployed into our biggest and most challenging emergency responses, sometimes into chronic, less visible crises. You will be deployed from your home country. You must be prepared to travel at short notice to emergency response countries (deployments are normally 3-6 months, but can be longer).

Location
Most of the year, you will be deployed in countries where Oxfam is involved in humanitarian programming or preparations. Your residency (in between deployments) can be anywhere where an international airport is nearby and where working permits can be obtained.

What we offer
This position is contracted by Oxfam Novib in The Netherlands as one of the contributing Oxfam affiliates to the Global Humanitarian Team.

The position is graded in scale 10 (between € 3,302 and € 5,082 gross monthly). We offer additional benefits to compensate for the costs while travelling to the Country Offices.
