CARE International in Papua New Guinea (PNG) is looking to fill the position of Community Disaster Management Team Leader in Goroka, PNG. The role has responsibility for the successful implementation of the CARE PNG El Nino recovery project in Community Disaster Management. The role also explores opportunities to continue and/or expand on the existing project, including developing proposals. In addition to that, the role also ensures project compliance with CARE Australia and donor requirements.
Your significant experience and skills in the management of disaster risk reduction and/ or community disaster management will be highly valued. You will possess strong or well developed leadership, project management and community planning skills as well as the ability to demonstrate strong or well developed communication and influencing skills in managing diverse stakeholder relationships. Your ability to manage competing priorities and to organise and manage workload to meet deadlines will set you apart from others.
