Program Overview
KOMPAK is a large and complex program that is uniquely placed to add value to the Government of Indonesia’s own efforts to improve the social and economic conditions of its citizens; it is aimed at economic expansion and poverty reduction in Indonesia. Abt Associates is supporting frontline services, including health and education, while identifying governance constraints. The work accompanies implementation of Village Law, new national rules that empower local communities and increase the direct flow of money to village governments and services. KOMPAK seeks to strengthen the capacity of all levels of government to improve services, respond to citizen needs and contribute to stable prosperity.

The Opportunity
The Senior Procurement Manager will be responsible for directing, advising and undertaking all procurement activities required by KOMPAK.  Under limited guidance the role will be required to contribute to the development of complex procurements, including procurement planning, drafting complex request for tenders and agreements, tender evaluations, contract negotiation and clearing procurement documentation.

This role will facilitating effective liaison and coordination amongst stakeholders in the Program and in partner organizations to achieve the implementation of procurement plans in line with KOMPAK procurement and financial management procedures; and will be guided by corporate policy and direction from Abt Associates’ head office in Brisbane, and will be responsible for applying Australian Government process to all procurement functions across the program.
