Program Coordinator – Ready-to-Work Accelerator Program (RWAP)

Full-Time Position; based in East Java

Program Overview
The USAID Ready-to-Work Accelerator Program (RWAP) project will establish a network of up to 20 Centers of Excellence in selected Lembaga Pelatihan Keterampilan (LPKs) to deliver workforce development programs to poor and vulnerable youth. Centers of Excellence will serve as hubs for Learning and Innovation Networks (LINs), building the capacity of technical and vocational education and training centers and coordinating with the training providers, the local government and the private sector to improve workforce training, provide student support, and certify success for youth, preparing them for success in local job markets.

RWAP will be implemented by a consortium led by RTI International together with EDC and YCAB Foundation. EDC is responsible for adapting and implementing WorkReadyNow! (WRN!), a work-readiness and entrepreneurship curriculum, at the Centers of Excellence and throughout the training institutions in the LIN.

Responsibilities
Under the direction of EDC’s Project Director and in coordination with RTI’s Chief of Party, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of EDC’s role within the consortium.

  • In coordination with EDC technical specialists, adapt and translate existing WRN! curriculum for the Indonesia context through a process of adaptation workshops and pilots
  • Manage the set-up and facilitation of WRN! workshops and training sessions
  • Lead the training of WRN! curriculum materials with faculty from Centers of Excellence & LIN partners
  • Manage the roll-out and monitoring of WRN! implementation at Centers of Excellence & LIN partners including engaging with faculty and management and leading the training of trainers as required
  • Coordinate with RWAP management on programmatic, operational and financial aspects of the project
  • Coordinate with finance staff to develop and implement appropriate budgets for all activities, ensuring compliance with all financial and other regulations
  • Provide regular reports to RWAP management and EDC
  • Other duties as required to support RWAP
Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Five years or more of professional work experience within education or training fields
  • Experience designing and implementing curriculum
  • Experience working with or for educational institutions (LPKs, BLKs, LKPs experience preferred)
  • Experience working with youth work-force development programs preferred
  • Experience organizing, managing and implementing events such as training programs
  • Experience training and supporting faculty members or teachers preferred
  • Knowledge of Indonesia’s education system capacity, strengths, needs and challenges is preferred
  • Experience working on USAID or other international donor-funded projects preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in education, public or business administration, social sciences, or similar field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Language: The candidate must be professionally proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesian.
