Internship Opportunities at The Nature Conservancy Indonesian Program

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is a conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people.  In Indonesia, TNC has been supporting improved natural resource planning and management for more than 25 years, including working with government, private sector, and local communities.

We currently have the following internship opportunities:

INTERN, COMMUNITY WORK

Work Description
Under the supervision of Terrestrial Program Manager and in coordination with Community Engagement & Protected Area Manager, the intern will:
  • Support administrative work related to the improvement and dissemination of TNC’s community engagement framework known as SIGAP (Aksi Inspiratif Warga untuk Perubahan)
  • Support the organization of socialization, training and other events related to SIGAP
  • Collect and synthesize relevant materials related to SIGAP
Deliverables
Administrative documents such as contract related documents, tender documents, and minutes of meeting

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in management, natural resource management or forestry
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, particularly in English language
  • Demonstrated experience in MS Office, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to organize time and manage diverse activities including meeting deadlines
  • Pleasant personality (friendly, team player, quick learner, creative and willing to take on a variety of tasks)
  • Interested in conservation/biodiversity/environmental issues
INTERN, MEMBERSHIP CHANNEL DEVELOPMENT

Work Description
Under the supervision of the Head of Strategic Conservation and Development, the intern will develop the membership channel concepts/ modules within the area of  membership.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate in Strategic Management, Management, Economy, Accounting or Industrial Engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Visio, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent in written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia and English
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Interested in conservation/biodiversity/environmental issues
