Global Witness Job Vacancy: Prospect Research Officer - London, United Kingdom

We’re looking for a Prospect Research Officer to join our successful and ambitious Development Team to support us in identifying and profiling fundraising prospects

About us:
Our vision is simple: we want a better world - where corruption is challenged and accountability prevails, all can thrive within the planet’s boundaries, and governments act in the public interest.

We’re pioneers and innovators in tackling natural resource misuse, conflict and corruption: issues that are assumed to be inevitable or intractable or which are simply not recognised at all.

This is an important role in a thriving and growing team with ambitious fundraising goals. You will support the London and Washington DC based development team in meeting our income targets.

About the role:
Working with the Head of Major Gifts and Senior Development Officer, you’ll identify and research individual major donor, trust, foundation and government prospects.

You’ll also be responsible for producing detailed research profiles, due diligence documents in line with our ethical fundraising policy and meeting briefings.

About you:
You will have experience of major donor prospect research leading to the securing of major gifts as well as experience of working with fundraising databases to interrogate and extract data for profiles and reports and to track donor pipelines.

Our Development team is fast paced and busy so being able to prioritise and organise your workload effectively is essential.

Working for us:
Global Witness is committed to creating a diverse workforce.  We value diversity and inclusion and we want to attract the best people regardless of age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, disability, social status or religious beliefs.

We offer an excellent benefits package including a competitive salary and 25 days holiday (exc. Bank holidays) private medical insurance and flexible working arrangements.

APPLYING:
To apply for this position, please send a CV covering letter and a sample research profile (confidentially), neither of which should exceed two-pages, to recruitmentfundraising@globalwitness.org by Monday 15 January 2018 at 9am.

Please write where you saw this advert in the text of the email. Due to the volume of applications we’ll only contact you if you’ve been shortlisted for interview. The interviews will take place on week commencing 22 January 2018.
