Nuffic Neso Job Vacancy: Scholarship Officer, Jakarta - Indonesian

Scholarship Officer – 6 (six) month contract April to September 2019 with the possibility to extend
Nuffic Neso Indonesia is part of a worldwide network of Netherlands Education Support Offices, and is an overseas office of Nuffic, the Netherlands expertise and service centre for internationalisation in education. Nuffic Neso Indonesia key activities are:
  • Study in Holland promotion and student counselling for Indonesian students
  • Promote cooperation between Higher Education Institutions
  • Support Holland Alumni network
  • Management of scholarship programmes (StuNed, Orang Tulip, EU SHARE)
  • Facilitate scientific research collaboration between Indonesia and the Netherlands
  • Support student mobility of Dutch students coming to Indonesia
  • Management of specific projects in the education field
StuNed (Studeren in Nederland or Study in Holland) is a bilateral scholarship programme between the Netherlands and Indonesia that aims to develop the capacity of young potential Indonesian future leaders and contribute to human resource development of Indonesia. The target group for the StuNed scholarships programme are Indonesian young professionals. StuNed provides scholarships for Masters, short courses, and tailor-made training.
Responsibilities:
  • Providing information and support to various stakeholders in Indonesia and the Netherlands
  • Assessing master and/or short course scholarship applications
  • Handling overall daily administration with regards to the management of the programs
  • Student counseling (online, phone, one-on-one)
  • Implementing specific scholarship-related events
  • Establishing and maintaining regular communication with various stakeholders (applicants, awardees, Dutch Higher Education Institutions and Indonesian stakeholders)
  • Consulting with head quarter’s counterpart on issues related with the implementation of the program
  • Regularly reviewing the procedure and requirements of StuNed scholarships program and suggesting necessary adjustment
  • Identify opportunities for potential partnerships with both Dutch and Indonesian organisations/ institutions 
  • Providing relevant information to Team Coordinator for report-writing; monitoring and evaluation purposes
  • Reporting to Team Coordinator Scholarships on daily basis and periodically to the Director.
Requirements:
  • Minimal Bachelor’s degree (S1)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years working experience in a relevant position
  • Excellent English communication skills in speaking and writing
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Computer literate especially in MS office applications
  • Experience with studying abroad and/or living in the Netherlands preferred
  • Experience in event management would be an advantage
  • Able to work in a team and independently
