Job Description:
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Program Manager is responsible for the management of a large portfolio that includes countries in Southern Africa, Middle East and Eastern, and Asia, contributing to approximately $65-70M of annual income target as a team.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide overall program management, including proposal review, capacity building quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies, policies and advocacy issues related to Gift-in-Kind (GIK) programming.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on GIK programming issues related to the country portfolio within WVC, collaborating cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Contribute to proposal design and ensure compliance to GIK standards.
  • Provide support and capacity building to field offices.
  • Undertake field monitoring trips based on an agreed upon schedule and report on program activities and progress accordingly.
Job Requirements:
  • University Degree in international development with focus on program/project management. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of global development issues. 
  • Program Management – Assessment, Design, Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation. 
  • Stakeholder relationships management. 
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written). 
  • Cross-cultural experience and sensitivity. 
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently. 
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Word. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player. 
  • Able to travel internationally (undertake field monitoring trips and attending meetings/conference/training). 
  • 3-5 years international development experience overseas.
