EAC is a global program of EAA that aims to significantly reduce the number of children worldwide who are denied their right to education, to help provide them with opportunities to learn. EAC works with partner organisations toward its mission to trigger significant breakthroughs in providing out of school children faced with extreme poverty, cultural barriers, and conflict-affected environments an opportunity for a full course of quality primary education. EAC’s technical department provides the highest quality educational leadership and actions in support of the day to day implementation and application of EAC’s vision, mission and objectives

About the role:
Serve as a senior specialist in the EAC technical team, undertaking all relevant tasks in support of EAC’s mission. Senior specialists have front-line responsibility to engage with countries on the development of EAC activities that include strong partners and promising activities and to ensure the quality and integrity of all EAC programmatic activities.

EAC support
  • Review, analyse, and provide technical education insight for Expressions of Interest and project proposals from worldwide.
  • Advise EAC on ways to enhance reach and impact.
On-going projects
  • Interact with organization leadership and stakeholders regarding the progress and accomplishments of EAC funded projects.
  • Maintain constructive dialogue and technical exchange with field counterparts and technical staff of implementing partners.
  • As requested, support the on-going monitoring of EAC supported work in coordination with M&E and operations colleagues.
Partnerships
  • Conduct opportunity assessments of potential partners for projects in existing and new countries and advise on strategic and/or impactful opportunities. 
  • Develop collaborative relationships with donor/client organizations, relevant government agencies, bilateral and other NGOs.
Meetings and events
  • Contribute to the effective and efficient conduct of EAC meetings, workshop, conferences, and events. 
  • Represent EAC in external meetings and events as requested.
Quality assurance
  • Assist in maintaining a high level of quality and appropriate branding for all products posted, published or distributed by EAC.
  • With the growth of EAC, begin to develop (a) selected area(s) of concentration (e.g., fragile situations, private sector partnerships)
