Oxfam International Job Vacancy: Regional Humanitarian Manager, Asia

REGIONAL HUMANITARIAN MANAGER, ASIA

Oxfam’s operations in Asia span from Tajikistan to Timor-Leste and from contexts as diverse as Afghanistan to Lao PDR. Oxfam plays a critical role in Asia which is a region where innovation and development success stories abound. However, despite these success stories and being one of the fastest growing economies in the world, Asia is still home to over two-thirds of the world's poorest people. Oxfam is looking for influential leaders to fill some crucial roles as it fights to end poverty across the region. From climate change to natural disasters, to injustice and inequality, each come with their own unique set of challenges and Oxfam is looking for people who are passionate about addressing them.

As the Regional Humanitarian Manager you will act as Oxfam’s regional representative on humanitarian matters, coordinate Oxfam’s humanitarian resources across the region and lead on the region’s strategy development for disaster risk reduction, mitigation & response.

Given Asia is widely recognised as the world's most disaster-prone region, we are looking someone with proven leadership capabilities and significant experience managing humanitarian response work in a range of environments. While you use crisis situations to meet humanitarian objectives and strategic opportunities to influence, you will make sure everything we do is in the best interest of the people of Asia.
