Terre des hommes (Tdh) is a child protection focused Swiss based International NGO that has been active in Nepal for 28 years. We are seeking qualified and dynamic Nepali residents to join our Humla based Office.

All employees of Tdh must be willing to adhere to the Tdh child protection and risk management policies. Prior to appointment, a thorough background check will be made to ensure the successful candidate is suitable to have contact with children.

Position Title: District Manager – Humla

Work Station: The position will be based in Simikot Humla with frequent visits to project VDCs in Humla

Reporting to: Training and Development Coordinator

Main Responsibilities:
This position is under supervision of Training and Development Coordinator. S/he has to support for implementation of activities according to Cooperative Agreement with local NGOs, facilitate and coach to partners and project staffs, coordinate and carry out monitoring of projects, strengthen coordination with local stakeholders, liaison with relevant line agencies, support to conduct research, carry out day-to-day admin finance and assets/logistics management of district contact office, case management and regular reporting. S/he also has to work with T& D coordinator and other coordinator and managers closely to carry out capacity assessment and implement capacity development activities of Humla partners.

Minimum Required Qualification and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degreein the areas of management, social science or related area, Master’s degree preferable
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in project managementand organizational development, capacity development of non-profit sector
  • Experience in project management with good understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Strong analytical and presentation skill
  • Familiar with transparency and accountability tools such as social audits, self-audits, public audit, capacity audit tools
  • Familiar with Child Protection, Health and WASH preferable
  • Strong coaching, mentoring and facilitating skill
  • Ability to work with different teams and initiate activities independently
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationship with partners, beneficiaries and stakeholders
  • Very good knowledge of using computer ( Microsoft office), preferably Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Nepali
