PSI seeks candidates for Sr. Field Finance Support Manager. The Field Finance Support team works directly with PSI’s country finance teams to provide guidance and support to drive compliance with PSI’s global accounting policies and procedures, as well as applicable funder regulations.  This position will report to the Director of Field Finance Support based in Washington DC. 

RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Review and monitor country finance monthly reporting packets, providing feedback to the countries and escalating issues where appropriate 
  • Provide technical assistance to country finance teams to improve in country financial operations, and awareness of global accounting and funder requirements 
  • Identify, develop and provide capacity building support across PSI’s country finance teams 
  • Review internal audit, external audit, funder audit and other compliance reports to identify common issues requiring additional guidance, support and/or training 
  • Assist country finance teams in implementing audit recommendations 
  • Work closely with PSI/Washington departments such as Procurement, Grants & Contracts, to review funder requirements and raise awareness across the country finance teams 
  • Develop, share, identify tools and templates to facilitate implementation of global accounting policies 
  • Assist in developing, communicating and training on PSI’s global accounting policies and procedures 
  • Assist Field Finance Support team and country finance teams in developing local country finance procedural manuals to support the implementation of global accounting policies 
  • Support Field Finance Support team and country finance teams in the roll out of accounting systems upgrades and/or implementations
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least 3 – 5 years field experience as an in country finance director in an international development organization 
  • Qualified accountant (CPA, Chartered Accountant, Certified Accountant, required) 
  • Fluent in English required, preferred fluency in French, knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese beneficial 
  • Familiar with USAID regulations required, knowledge of Global Fund, DFID, KfW, Dutch funders beneficial 
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and/or Lawson 
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
