Title: Business Development Coordinator
Reports To: Deputy Director, PSD

PIH currently has implementation programs in Haiti, Rwanda, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Peru, Mexico, Russia, Sierra Leone and Navajo Nation. Through our partnership with Harvard Medical School and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, we support a wide range of programs in dozens of other countries around the world.

General Responsibilities:
  • The Coordinator will provide wide-ranging administrative support to the  team for  its multi-million dollar fundraising efforts.
Specific Responsibilities:

Administrative Support 40%
  • Assist with meeting scheduling, logistics and taking minutes, and managing the team calendar.
  • Support team travel planning and logistics, and expense reporting.
  • Process invoices and expense reports under management of Deputy Director.
  • Support finance and budget work of the team including revenue projections, team budgets, etc.
  • Support and contribute to the annual planning process, quarterly reviews, and long-range strategy discussions.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and other reports as requested.
  • Assist with coordination of inter departmental work, projects, and initiatives.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the Director and Deputy Director as requested.
  • Support the writing and updating of team manuals and policies.
  • Other tasks assigned.
Intelligence Gathering and Research Support 20%
  • Basic online research concerning opportunities and new trends in international development and global health funding, including regular monitoring of websites and other resources (business forecasts, etc.). Other research support as requested.
Proposal Development Support 20%
  • Copy-editing, formatting, compiling and packaging of proposals in strict accordance with donor guidelines.
  • Writing of non-technical sections of proposals.
  • Provide coordination support as requested.
Tools and Systems Development Support and Responsibilities 20%
  • Support the development of templates and other background materials (e.g. capacity statements) for new business development efforts.
  • Writing of one-pagers and other briefing materials as needed for conferences and meetings with donors and implementing partners;
  • Update and maintain PSD databases and document filing systems, and generate database reports
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-2 years prior administrative experience in a professional office setting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a time-sensitive manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills, and an ability to communicate with and coordinate efforts among a culturally and geographically diverse staff.
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated maturity, judgment, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required. Experience with Raiser’s Edge or Serenic a plus.
  • Knowledge of international donor landscape and grant-making processes desired.
  • Passion for advancing global health and social justice.
