Greenpeace Vacancy: Climate & Energy Team Member - Australia

Greenpeace Vacancy: Climate & Energy Team Member - Australia
Climate & Energy Team Member

Opportunity to join the world's leading environmental campaigning organisation and fight to protect Queensland's environment. Brisbane-based 12 month term position.

Do you want to part of a team that is helping protect the Great Barrier Reef from the coal industry? A team that is working with farmers and local community members to protect Leard State Forest from the Maules Creek coal mine? A team that is delivering smart, strategic and impactful campaigns to transform Australia’s fossil-fuelled political economy and stop our country being such a major contributor to climate change?

Greenpeace is looking for a clever, strategic and committed Queensland-based individual to work in our climate and energy team.

You don’t need to have a background in environmental campaigning, but you do need to be committed to Greenpeace values, to think in terms of strategy, politics and social change and be creative, resourceful and determined to win, with a knack for understanding the operating environment in Queensland.

Ideally you would have a background in the politics of climate and energy, but we would also be really interested in someone with the right skills and inclination with a global outlook and can learn quickly.

This is a full time (35 hours per week) 12 month position based in Brisbane.  For a full job description please access it HERE. Applications should contain a one page covering letter telling us why you want the job, accompanied by a CV of no more than two pages. Please send this to reach us by the closing date of 9am 23 July.
