Job Description:
The Regional Volunteer Coordinator (RVC) serves as a regional volunteer relationship specialist whose main role is to support the various WVC Special Events and departments which require volunteer support. The RVC’s main function is to recruit, screen, train, place, recognize and motivate volunteers in our Special Event program. The RVC will also assist with fundraisers/campaigns initiated by volunteers or individual fundraisers. This could include but is not limited to emergency appeals, mall campaigns, events and event logistics, sponsorship table management, Gift Catalogue fundraisers, etc. The RVC will develop and deepen relationships with volunteers and fundraisers working through a moves management strategy to increase loyalty and revenue.

Reporting to the Manager, Regional Volunteer Coordinators & Supporter Led Fundraising in the Artist, Church and Volunteer Engagement Department, the successful candidate is an experienced, motivated and highly organized relational individual.

Job Requirements:
  • University or College Degree with a focus on business, project management, international development, humanities or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional Volunteer Management is essential
  • Volunteer Management certificate strongly preferred
  • 2-3 years sales and/or fundraising knowledge and experience
  • Ability to network, proven ability to develop relationships and manage over 600+ volunteers
  • Strong organizational skills, time management and ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines and commitments
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required
  • Ability to work from a home office is required
  • Some weekend and evening work as needed
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work in a dynamic, fast paced, result driven environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Occasional domestic travel throughout the region
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft CRM and SharePoint is an asset
