Diakonia Asia Regional Office is recruiting a Regional Administrator for Asia

Placement: Chiang Mai, Thailand
Condition of employment: Permanent/Full-Time
Start: February 21, 2019

Report to: Regional Director
The successful candidate will report directly to the Regional Director of the Diakonia Asia Region and will be an active member of the Asia management team, playing a key role in strategic direction as well as finance management of the region. The role entails full responsibility for the finance and administration requirements of regional office and 5 country offices. The successful candidate should possess both technical and managerial skills as well as strategic skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage, develop and secure administrative and financial routines within the region.
  • Ensure the region finance team are appropriately resourced and possess the skills required to support the needs of the organisation.
  • Monitor and review strategic finance initiatives.
  • Managing the annual budget and forecasting progress for the region.
  • Take full responsibility for monthly financial report to Head Office and manage the external audit process in the region.
  • Supervise the finance and administrative staff of the regional office.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • University degree in finance and administration, 4-5 years’ experience in relevant area, including management experience.
  • Very good planning, organizing, reporting and writing skills (in English and Thai).
  • Experience of operating in an international development cooperation environment and managing remote teams.
  • Good leadership and interpersonal, training and facilitation skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
