Plan International Indonesia is presently implementing its country strategic 4 (CS 4) covering fiscal year 2017 to 2022, where the country objective has been defined as “to identify and facilitate the removal of obstacles that prevent children from enjoying their rights and participating fully in Indonesian society”.

The organisation’s purpose is to “strive for a just world that advances children’s rights and equality for girls”. This goal will be achieved by providing technical support and implementing quality programs and projects through partnership. An effective and efficient communications strategy is a must for Plan Indonesia to share the outcomes of these projects to influence different actors, specially state authorities and to position Plan’s profile within and outside at different levels – starting from community, sub district, district to national, regional and international levels.

Project Manager for BEST (Better Parenting Education to Reduce Stunting) 

Role Purpose
As the Innovation Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for the management, delivery and continuous improvement of this innovation product for ECD and nutrition working to reduce stunting in children in Indonesia. This 6-month role will focus on the design and delivery of an innovation solution, for parents and caregivers (including those with low literacy levels and low connectivity) to reduce stunting. You will create a vision for this product based on extensive consultations with users through Human Centred user research and Plan International’s selected implementing partner. You will coordinate the design, build, testing of the product in Indonesia, as well as pilot planning and possible extension to lead the pilot. You will be responsible for engaging with stakeholders and users to ensure they are clear on the benefits of the product and that their feedback is being used to inform ongoing improvements. You will lead monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and develop a sustainability strategy for the product.

Accountabilities: Manage the BEST Innovation Project (including budget approximately EUR 98,000 for the first 6 months). Develop and refine the product vision, roadmap, and backlog of work regularly throughout the project's life cycle. Manage selected partner organisation and work with them to: Explore and compare a number of game types and communication channels to find what is most suitable for the audience, incorporating learnings from previous attempts. For example, scenario-based games hosted on Interactive Voice Response (IVR), and/or a chatbot with visual imagery, Design and develop content and prototypes, testing with parents and caregivers in the field in an agile and iterative way (includes creating User Stories, defining the goals of Sprints and Releases), Pilot and evaluate the solution in the field . Develop and lead the project M&E with a view to gathering data to prove concept, secure funding and scale up post-pilot. Lead in developing a sustainability plan for the product. Provide progress updates internally (including Country Management Team & Global Hub Innovation Team). Liaise with government to share progress.
Technical expertise, skills and knowledge: A minimum of 2 years’ working experience with demonstrated project management skills ; Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, the local language, and English, Experience as a product owner or product management, preferably for digital products, Experience using human-centered design and working in agile product development , Strong problem-solving skills, A strong understanding of digital technologies and storytelling for social impact, Experience in budget management , Willingness and ability to travel to Central Lombok as required
Desirable 
Experience working in and applying human-Centered Design and Design Thinking to the international development sector. Knowledge on stunting and nutrition. Prior project experience developing mobile solutions (e.g. chatbots or IVR)
