Mission PlaNet Finance is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the development of microfinance through the provision of technical assistance and consulting services to the microfinance and banking sector. PlaNet Finance in partnership with Pernod Ricard is currently developing a project to promote the sustainability of grape production in the Tavush region the northeastern region of Armenia). The proposed intervention consist in (1) creating a cooperative with active membership, (2) developing a pilot credit for tractor purchase, (3) facilitating the use tractors for members of the cooperative, (4) increasing renewal of vine stock, (5) encouraging an increase in the amount of land cultivated for grape production PlaNet Finance is seeking a bilingual English/French or Armenian project coordinator to support the implementation of this project. Term 3 years (as of October 2011) Location Ijevan, Armenia Contract VSI or Junior Expert Profile/Skills
• MBA, MA in agricultural economics, economics, sociology, finance, or a related field, or equivalent through experience in microfinance; • Experience in microfinance and /or agricultural development ; • Geographic mobility and ability to adapt to new environments within project context; • Ability to prioritize and respond to multiple demands, responsive and able to draw from diverse resources available, excellent teamwork abilities; • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; • Proactive, rigorous with analytic and synthetic capacities ; • Detail oriented, focused and organized; • Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; • Languages: Fluent in English or French, Armenian would be a plus. Responsibilities Ensure the smooth running of the project : • Facilitate, organize and support the implementation of operational activities; • Ensure high-quality standards, timely deliverables; • Work with an MFI on the design of a pilot product adapted to the needs of beneficiaries and develop a methodological guide for the launch of the pilot; • Write a Business plan for the cooperative; • Set up partnerships with key institutions and Identifying financing opportunities; • Organize the monthly local monitoring committee and project steering committees; • Provide activity reports and budget monitoring of the project to Head office and donors; • Manage the local project manager and the project stakeholders; • Manage the project risks, schedule, budget and conflicts; • Validate the communication tools, training materials used, and methodological guide; Contact Please send CV and cover letter by email to
