Your opportunity to utilize your program management and humanitarian emergency affairs (HEA) experience in a leading organization dedicated to improving the lives of children living in poverty. World Vision (WV) is a global network of people committed to enhance the well-being of children everywhere by empowering families and communities to overcome the challenges of poverty and injustice.

The HEA & Gaza Area Manager will provide supervision and strategic leadership for WVJWBG (World Vision Jerusalem West Bank Gaza) ministry in Gaza. You will ensure the effective implementation of Area Development Programmes (ADP) and Grants, and support ADP Managers within the geographical area of responsibility. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with WV Partnership standards, donor requirements and international humanitarian standards. Facilitating ministry and geographic integration will help you to create a more holistic approach in Gaza and strong alignment with WVJWBG strategically and operationally.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Full cycle program management using international development recognised best practice methodologies and approaches, to support ADP’s in effective program implementation • Grants and donor management including supporting advocacy in donor relationship building • Providing leadership and effective management to the programming staff and work to build capacity in teams • Provide HEA management and support, whilst being the liaison for WVJWBG for the region.

SKILLS REQUIRED INCLUDE:
• Experience working in a conflict context, across different cultural and political landscapes • Minimum 5 years of programme management experience in development and relief sector with community development projects • Demonstrated management experience, within a diverse cultural team • Demonstrated track record in project/grant management for major government donors required • Ability to lead a multi-cultural team with an empowering and outcome oriented approach. • Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).
