About the role
A senior role within the Programs and Humanitarian Response team, the Head of Technical Services (HTS) works to define strategic direction and ensure access to high quality technical expertise in domestic and internationally-funded programs. The position operates in collaboration to strengthen the technical quality of Save the Children programs and the capacity of staff to implement high quality programs.

Working across the technical areas of Child Protection, Disaster Risk Reduction / Climate Change Adaptation, Education, Health, Nutrition and Monitoring and Evaluation, the General Manager Technical Services will provide leadership to the group to coordinate and drive technical input and oversight in program planning and design.

A key area for success for this role will be the interface and representation of Save the Children Australia to Save the Children International (SCI), other Save the Children members and external forums, ensuring that SCA is positioned as a highly credible member and provider of specialist technical services.

Reporting to the Director Programs and Humanitarian Response, this role works in close collaboration with Directors, Country Directors and State Managers.

Based in our National Office in Melbourne, Australia, we will consider sponsorship for the right applicant.
