Director of Donor Analytics, Management and Reporting - Heifer International, Little Rock, AR, United States

Function:
Serves as an organization leader in all areas of data analysis, statistical evaluation, and analytical reporting. The incumbent will be well versed in all matters of data analysis and the computer tools used to conduct complex analysis projects (spreadsheets, databases, report writers, and statistics software). Would be capable of interpreting analytical results into program recommendations that will benefit fundraisers and internal customers and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the leader within the organization in the area of providing superior analytical services to all fundraisers and internal customers, including analysis of specific programs, such as renewals, appeals, sustainer programs, major giving, mid giving, corporate programs and prospecting. 
  • Generate standard analytical reports to include: donor value, donor attrition, donor retention, halfway points and any other reporting as needed and providing analytical review and over-sight of reporting. 
  • Coordinate the development of analysis narrative to accompany each analytical report; assist staff in interpreting analysis and writing narrative; write narrative as necessary.
  • Conduct detailed results-based analyses of fundraising programs. Interpret the data, develop recommendations for and implement strategies designed to beat projections and meet client goals. Report on and present results in spreadsheets, written reports, graphically and using presentation software.
  • Advise on performance trends and to recommend alternative strategies to overcome strategic and organizational challenges.
  • Develop a level of expertise in job related software programs such as spreadsheet, database management, report writers, and statistical analysis programs.
  • Assure the integrity of Blackbaud/BBEC Fundraising database.
  • Develop and implement methodology for accurately identifying and tracking primary and secondary marketing sources as they relate to response and income within cross-channel, integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Practice the application of complex methodologies associated with the implementation of predictive and segmentation modeling so critical to leveraging a more efficient return-on-investment within all prospecting/acquisition efforts.
  • Identify and analyze trends and patterns within statistical data using a series of complex analyses including: Statistical, Multiple Regression, Correlation, Factor, Cluster, Discriminant, or Logistical.
  • Manage and implement complex process for performing: data hygiene, de-duping of file, change of address and address enhancements.
  • Manage and implement large, in-house merge/purge process that ensures that 10-12 million records are deliverable, up-to-date and without duplication within an aggressive timeframe.
  • Recommend systemic and procedural improvements.
  • Train staff in basic and advanced statistical measurement and techniques.
  • May perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in direct marketing, statistics, or related field. 
  • Experience in behavioral and attitudinal analytic techniques.
Most Critical Proficiencies:
  • Excellent analytical skills and computer skills, especially in spreadsheet and database programs. 
  • Knowledge of the non-profit sector with awareness of the context in which non-profit organizations operate.
  • Working knowledge of statistical software programs.
  • Excellent supervisory and team leadership skills.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow company systems and operating procedures (forms, timelines, etc.) 
  • Knowledge of database design, manipulation, and reporting.
