The Program Director oversees the implementation of some of the Foundation’s programs. He/she cultivates relationships with donors and contributes to new business development in particular contexts.

Program Management and Oversight:
  • Determines the strategic direction of programs, including the selection of approach, technology and programmatic areas; 
  • Oversees operational managers and implementation of programs including ensuring projects’ progress towards planned outcomes and developing the capacity of project teams; 
  • Cultivates and maintains key strategic regional partnerships necessary for program success; 
  • Provides oral and written program reports to the board of trustees and management team; 
  • Oversees staff donor relations and ensures regular communication with donor counterparts to ensure clear communication of program goals, achievements and needs; 
  • Identifies innovations to develop and improve programs.
  • Conducts research to develop program ideas and understand program needs; 
  • Cultivates relationships with governmental and nongovernmental donors; 
  • Identifies funding opportunities for the Foundation; 
  • In coordination with the development department, develops innovative concepts and proposals.
  • Graduate degree in a relevant field such as economics, political science, international affairs, or area studies; 
  • At least five years of experience designing and implementing technical assistance programs; 
  • Solid understanding of online media and online learning platforms; 
  • Proven ability to leverage or raise funds for philanthropic purposes; 
  • Strong staff management skills; 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; 
  • Fluency in Persian highly desirable.
