CARE International Job Vacancy: Field Coordinator - Kupang, Indonesian

CARE International Indonesia (CII), as an international NGO, has carried out large scale operations in Indonesia, encompassing emergency operations, transitional activities centered on agriculture and nutrition and a range of development initiatives in such areas as water and sanitation, health and enterprise & economic development.

CARE International Indonesia in Kupang (East Nusa Tenggara-NTT) is currently recruiting the following position for its project: 

JOB TITLE: FIELD COORDINATOR
DEPARTMENT/PROJECT: PROGRAM/PfR
REPORTS TO: PROGRAM MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY
The Field Coordinator (FC) is the coordinator of PfR Alliance activities that run out of the CARE sub-office in Kupang. This implies that the FC works closely with the Jakarta-based Program Manager an Alliance Coordinator (PM) to ensure the effective implementation of the PfR Indonesia country program.

The FC leads the Kupang-based team, ensuring activities based out of this office meet the requirements of the overall program. The FC will help the PM to make decisions on strategy, how to meet outcome and output objectives, timing and resources.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
  • Field-based Coordination; 
  • Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting; 
  • Financial/Budget and Asset Management; 
  • Personnel Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of Bachelor in Management, Development, Social Studies, Communications, or other related field; 
  • At least 5 years of experience managing projects of similar size, comparable complexity; 
  • Experience working with a wide range of partners in project management, and engaging with a diverse group of stakeholders; 
  • Experience working with a development NGO in multi-cultural environment; 
  • Relevant knowledge and/or experience in disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and ecosystem management restoration; 
  • Demonstrated experience with the design, implementation, management and evaluation of programs; 
  • Experience in participatory planning and review techniques; 
  • Experience working in NTT or eastern Indonesia region; 
  • Ability to work with little supervision; 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; 
  • Fluently spoken and written English.
