The
Humanitarian Department is an integral part of Muslim Aid’s programme
delivery arm. We ensure that our funds reach the most vulnerable groups
to help alleviate their plight. The Humanitarian Programme encompasses
a number of work streams such as emergency, dig-a-well, seasonal (e.g.
Ramadan and Qurbani) and religious dues. The Department is also are
responsible for Muslim Aid’s child sponsorship initiative through our
Rainbow Family Programme.
The
successful candidate will have overall accountability for all the
Humanitarian Programme workstreams. You will need to be experienced in a
variety of areas such as managing programmes overseas,
project/programme planning and execution (including financial management
and reporting), risk management, evaluation and people management. You
will work closely supporting the Head of Department to build
relationships with the Start Network.
You
will need to be resilient, have good people skills, demonstrate
excellent written skills and able to network effectively. This role
will require you to undertake duty visits to remote overseas locations,
conflict and disaster affected areas. This can sometimes be at short
notice.
