RAJA AMPAT COMMUNICATIONS AND OUTREACH COORDINATOR (R4 COR)
The candidate requires to support the Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan (KKP) networking site in Kaimana, Manokwari and outside in Bird Head Seascape (BHS). In addition, this position will help ensure an increase in the capacity building of the KKP to create information networks within KKP optimally as expected. This position is under the supervision of Raja Ampat Sr. Corridor Manager and supervise Communication and Outreach Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of Communication Strategy Implementation Planning Phase IV Berbasis Transisi Pengelolaan Taman Pulau-pulau Kecil Daerah (TPPKD) - Network KKP Raja Ampat;
- Coordinate / facilitate the socialization some management policies TPPKD-KKP R4 Management at the district and village level;
- Create/prepare communication products based Network Management KKP / Taman Wisata Perairan Daerah Raja Ampat;
- Prepare report of activities units Internal R4 Marine Program consists of monthly reports, annual reports and R4 Marine Top Stories;
- Build partnership focusing on distribution of work output of Marine Conservation to key stakeholder and maintain good communications channels with key stakeholders
- A degree in communication or related field with min of 2 years working experience in communications, journalism, and/or natural resources management related field.
- Demonstrate working with media especially with news placement
- Good interpersonal skills, strong understanding of NGO’s communication, outreach and environment education;
- Ability to works with local NGO’s, Raja Ampat Local Government and Provincial level.
- Willing to travel to Bird Head Seascape Are (Raja Ampat, Manokwari and KaimanaR4).
- Good writing and editing skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Ability to work in a team and work independently;
- Computer skills and experience in relevant software (ie, MS Publisher, Pagemaker, Photoshop)
- Knowledge and experience in working with broad range of local stakeholders, including local government, private sectors, local NGOs, Adat Leaders, coastal communities, etc.
- An ability to represent CI-I marine Raja Ampat Program effectively in negotiation situations including being a representatives of CI in partnership keys meeting.
- Good knowledge/understanding of local cultural setting in Papua
