Multimedia Content Producer

Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) is a non-profit, paediatric healthcare organization in Siem Reap, Cambodia. AHC is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to join our team as a Multimedia Content Producer, responsible for the implementation of AHC’s communications strategy. He/she will produce dynamic, high-impact multimedia content, including video, photography, editorial, interactive and graphic design, ensuring alignment with AHC’s mission, brand/visual/editorial guidelines, and overall content strategy.

For 20 years, AHC has fulfilled its mission of providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare to children in Cambodia. Today, the organization is paving the way for healthcare in the country by providing specialty care and educating the next generation of Cambodian healthcare professionals to international standards, and doing so with exemplary governance. In an effort to expand awareness, engage audiences, inspire donation and create ambassadors, the Multimedia Content Producer will bring AHC’s narratives to life by conceptualizing, producing, and distributing compelling stories across communications channels in an integrated way, led by and reporting to the Communications Manager. The successful applicant will be a passionate and skilled storyteller, possessing a sharp news acumen, strong experience in video and graphic production, and an ability to create meaningful content. He/she should be interested in further developing their skills working for a healthcare NGO in a low-resource setting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, shoot, produce and edit video, photography, interactive and graphic design projects into narrative storytelling pieces for AHC’s website, social media, print material, email marketing, event collateral, and other as needed
  • Research, interview, write and edit editorial content to support key messages or initiatives for website, social media, external media, print material, internal communications, event collateral and other as needed
  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager and Development team to conceptualize impactful ways to tell the story of AHC’s staff, patients, volunteers and its programmes, mission and values,
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, adhering to guidelines and consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice
  • Work with Communications Manager to develop and execute on an influencer and public relations strategy, establishing partnerships with external media organizations, key contacts and influencers to generate interest, promote content, create collaborative pieces, and distribute AHC content to new audiences
  • Work with departments across AHC to ensure that people, cases, programmes, strategic initiatives, events and other occasions are captured visually for use in media, marketing, communications, publications and digitally, coordinating with relevant medical staff to schedule, interview, and write dynamic and compelling pieces such as patient stories, case studies, volunteer profiles and other
  • Aid in the development of a rich editorial calendar tailored to audiences, messaging themes, occasions, and more
  • Contribute to discussions about the objectives, goals and metrics around AHC’s communications strategy, and how it can better supports AHC’s strategic and organizational goals
  • Manage and maintain AHC’s presence across social media platforms, posting and curating content
  • Assist in supporting and mentoring a small team of in-house national communications staff
  • Test and track the effectiveness of communications activities, measuring and reporting on the level of engagement with the ultimate goal of increasing support
  • Other duties and projects as needed

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in multimedia and digital content production
  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts, Communication, Photography, Film/Videography, Journalism, or New Media Production
  • Proven ability to craft compelling stories through a variety of digital media, producing high quality and engaging content, with experience in journalism and all aspects of photo/video production
  • Ability to conduct effective interviews for the purpose of generating meaningful content for stories
  • Skilled in self-management, balancing competing priorities, and working against multiple deadlines
  • Proficient in applicable software and computer applications, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, Photoshop, illustrator, Final Cut, or other editing software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with online platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
  • Experience with Wordpress
  • Prior experience working with or in an international non-profit organisation and/or in healthcare
