Job Summary:

You will contribute to the formulation of CRS Timor Leste's strategic direction and guide its implementation out of the Baucau office. You will lead the overall management of the programmatic portfolio implemented out of the Baucau office, working closely with the Country Manager and the Sub-Regional Head of Programming (Sub-HOP) to ensure the successful implementation of current programs and the successful pursuit of new opportunities and innovative ideas to serve the poor and vulnerable. Your management and programming skills will ensure that the Baucau office delivers high-quality programming with sustained impact. You will also ensure effective management of operational systems and resources, in coordination with the CRS main office in Dili.

CRS Timor-Leste currently has a diverse portfolio of projects, including agriculture livelihoods (nutrition-sensitive agriculture, climate-smart agriculture, technical assistance for enhanced productivity), peace-building, Savings and Internal Lending Communities (SILC), disaster risk reduction (DRR), humanitarian response, and a new strategy for water security. Current donors include USAID, OFDA, Margaret A. Cargill Foundation, Australian Dept. of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and Latter-Day Saints Church. The Baucau HOO will take a lead role in engaging with these existing donors while identifying and pursuing strategic growth opportunities for CRS Timor-Leste.
