Job Description
  • Provide direction and leadership in advocating project objectives and in ensuring that all related stakeholders are well informed about the project activities, outcomes and goal.
  • Manage and coordinate project activities, from substantive, administrative and managing strategic planning of the project to achieve its outcomes.
  • Managing financial, human resources and others project resources to maximize project cost-effectiveness and efficiency
  • Liaise with local government at district and provincial level, district level for collaboration and coordination.
  • Ensure the quality of outputs, outcomes with good project documentation and optimum monitoring mechanisms; establish effective coordination, monitoring, information sharing as part of reporting system.
  • Identify risks for timely action and early resolution in coordination with key stakeholders in district and province level.
  • Prepare the project progress reports (monthly report, quarterly report, mid-year report, annual report and final report) in timely and accurate information.
  • Ensure compliance of all actions and activities with organizational rules, regulations, policies, strategies and internal control mechanisms
Qualifications and Competencies Required
  • A bachelor or master degree in social science, agriculture or development related field.
  • Minimum 7 (seven) years of relevant work experience and demonstrate good knowledge in project management, projects related to food security, livelihood or agriculture will be an advantage.
  • Proven experience working in partnership with Government and familiar with government related policies on village and district development planning process and budgeting
  • Ability to establish and maintain contacts with government senior officials, to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, for effective advocacy and influence policy makers
  • Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability. Adaptable or capable to adjusts approach and thinking to work effectively in a variety of situations and with different people.
  • Results focus and problem solving: Achieves objectives by taking an organizational perspective and working with and through others to achieve results and innovative thinking to solve problems.
