Pastoralist Livelihood Diversification Advisor, Ethiopia
We are currently seeking a long-term Pastoralist Livelihood Diversification Advisor for an anticipated multiyear program in Ethiopia. The project aims to increase incomes and improve the resiliency and adaptive capacity of pastoral communities to climate change through market expansion. The Advisor will work to design and implement innovative livelihood diversification approaches.
Qualifications: • Advanced degree in business, finance, livestock, agriculture, agribusiness, agricultural economics or related degree from an accredited university is required. • Minimum five years of experience with for-profit organizations, nongovernmental organizations or for profit agribusiness working with vulnerable, marginalized and pastoralist/agropastoralist groups. • Minimum five years of proven experience with innovative value chain development or business models using best practices. • Experience in pastoralist areas. • Strong oral and written communications skills required.
