Pastoralist Health Advisor, Ethiopia
We are currently seeking a long-term Pastoralist Health Advisor for an anticipated multiyear program in Ethiopia. The project aims to increase incomes in pastoral communities and to improve communities’ resiliency and capacity to adapt to climate change through market expansion. The Advisor will work to improve human health services and HIV/AIDS in the areas of maternal, newborn and child health, nutrition and other areas relevant to pastoralist areas.
Qualifications: • Medical doctor or master’s degree in the field of health, public health, nutrition or related field from an accredited university is required. • Minimum five years of work experience in the health sector. • Minimum two years of work experience in pastoralist areas. • Knowledge and expertise in a combination of health field areas such as HIV/AIDS, nutrition preferred. • Excellent verbal and written skills.
