We are preparing for the upcoming AusAID funded East Timor: Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program in Timor Leste.

There are 3 components included in the program which includes:
• District WASH quality service delivery (planning, building, rehabilitating and maintaining water systems) and delivery of sanitation and hygiene promotion programs; • Central RWASH strategic capacity building and resources for subnational level; and • Policy framework development by core public sector agencies.

We are seeking expressions of interest for a broad range of areas which include:
• Program Management; • Capacity Building (Government) • Finance and Audit Management • M&E

The Positions As a key team member, successful candidates will demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
• Leadership and management on a similar program within a complex and fragile environment; • Capacity building in the government sector; • Experience in the Rural Water Sanitation and Hygiene (RWASH) sector; • Demonstrated awareness of AusAID’s cross cutting issues such as gender and poverty inclusive and disability approach; and • Minimum 5 years experience working in a developing country context.

The Person You will be degree qualified in the relevant field and have high level communications skills, ensuring management and response to a wide variety of needs and situations within a cross-cultural and challenging complex environment.

Candidates with practical experience and an understanding of the development context in East Timor will be highly regarded. Candidates with a proven background of working with AusAID are strongly encouraged to apply.

Salary As the tender is not yet released we are unable to confirm where this position falls within AusAID’s Adviser Remuneration Framework (ARF), however we can confirm that the ARF will apply.
