Coordinator Asia and Pacific - CARE Australia, Canberra

The Coordinator provides oversight on program management and country/thematic development issues within the Asia/Pacific team. They are responsible for strategy development within the Asia and Pacific program; developing and managing programs, projects and activities at departmental level and they are accountable for delivering on program and project outcomes.

If you have; •Minimum five years relevant experience in overseas aid. Experience in the Asia-Pacific region is highly desirable •A clear appreciation of development theory and the role of international NGOs (an understanding of AusAID systems and procedures is highly desirable) •Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a small team including the ability to monitor and evaluate team performance and to deliver quality results within deadlines. •High level assessment, program development, evaluation, project proposal and budget preparation skills •Demonstrated understanding of gender and diversity and commitment to CARE’s approaches and values including, cultural sensitivity and women’s empowerment
