Plan International Vacancy: Accountability Project Manager, Manila

Plan International Vacancy: Accountability Project Manager, Manila
Plan’s vision is to reach as many children as possible, particularly those who are excluded or marginalised, with high-quality programmes that deliver long-lasting benefits. Plan has been working in the Philippines since 1961, helping poor children to realise their rights to health care, education, protection and a high quality of life. Our emergency teams are on the ground helping children and families affected by Typhoon Haiyan.

The purpose of this position is to manage the “Common Services” Accountability Project with implementing partners being Plan, IOM and WVI. This Dfid-funded project is an innovative accountability project that seeks to provide common mechanisms for use by many NGO actors across the Yolanda corridor for the provision of information to communities, the collection of feedback and CRM (complaints and response mechanisms) from communities, and the actioning of said feedback. It has a large built-in learning component as both the donor and the three implementing partners are keen to extract learning on the impact of common services for accountability to be shared more widely across the humanitarian community.

You will be a highly developed project manager with an entrepreneurial approach and proven communication and influencing skills to successfully work with a variety of key actors and stakeholders such as UN Agencies, Clusters, other NGOs, HAP, AAP and PSEA and CWC task forces, and Government counterpart agencies. An emergency response professional you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of humanitarian international standards and experience working with DFID CHASE.
