Save the Children
in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to build a
national organization that aims to be a strong, local, and
self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia. To this end, SC
Indonesia has been designated as a “Prospect Member”.
As
‘Prospect
Member’ Indonesia has been identified as part of the next way of new
member development, which focuses on strengthening and localizing our
voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Indonesia has
been authorized by member ballot to start fundraising
locally as a first step towards building a financially sustainable
local organization.
Future work will also involve developing a strong
local governance structure and building key partnerships with local
government, the private sector, local civil society
among others. Success of the pilot phase will set the Indonesia on a
pathway to full membership. We are currently seeking to fill the
following position:
Child Protection Project Officer – Central Sulawesi

ROLE PURPOSE:
Project
Officer (PO) support Program coordinator and responsible for mobilizing
resources and building the capacities
of target communities, schools, local government, providing technical
assistance, to ensure high quality of implementation of program
activities in her/his designated project areas (specific district/city).
PO liaises and responsible to maintain good relationship
with all key stakeholders and acts as the focal person in her/his
designated sub districts, village and community. Working together with
PO from others sectors (Child protection WASH, Distribution), PO will
build temporary learning spaces. Supported by Program
Coordinator roll out training, coordination at district level.
Supported by MEAL persons responsible for monitoring of KPI achievement
and relevant report in timely manner. Consultation with Program
Coordinator and MEAL persons, PO responsible to overall program
cycle in quality, by accepted and involving children and community
members. PO reports directly to Program Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education background in Education, Community Health, Social Work, Social/culture study or relevant studies.
Essential
- Proven knowledge and experience in education and child protection
- Proven experiences in working with children.
- Proven skills on community development and mobilization and work closely with key stakeholders.
- Have experiences work in Central Sulawesi (desirable), ability to speak local language is preferable
- Basic computer program
- Effective writing skill and speaking in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Proven ability working in multi cultural and team work
- Excellent basic program cycle
