YAPPIKA-ActionAid Job Vacancy: Humanitarian and Resilience Program Officer, Jakarta

YAPPIKA-ActionAid invites competent, experienced and committed professionals to fill the following positions:

Humanitarian and Resilience Program Officer - Jakarta

This position will carry out the implementation of the Humanitarian and Resilience Program located in Palu, Sigi and Donggala, West Sulawesi and Banten. And will also manage and cooperate with local partners.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Being the executor of the humanitarian and resilience program and responsible to the Program Coordinator, Priority Program Coordinator and Head of Program.
  • Provide support to the Program Coordinator in developing a system for implementing the humanitarian and resilience program, including program planning and budgeting as well as an accountability system.
  • Coordinate cooperation with organizations that are partners of YAPPIKA-ActionAid in the program work area.
  • Implement regional and national policy advocacy strategies; community empowerment strategy; involved in research work and capacity building required by partners.
  • Provide support for the implementation of program implementation monitoring activities, including in developing the instrument.
  • Contribute to the institutional development of YAPPIKA-ActionAid and the implementation of the ActionAid Humanitarian Signature.
  • Perform administrative tasks in accordance with the field of work, including managing resources under his responsibility.
  • Building relationships with various networks of civil society organizations, policy makers and other stakeholders at national and or regional levels.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum education S1 or more, preferably from the Department of Engineering, Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, Law, Political Science or Government Administration.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in humanitarian response programs in both the emergency response phase and rehabilitation and reconstruction. This includes empowering citizen groups, protecting women and vulnerable groups, as well as policy advocacy.
  • Understand policies and coordination mechanisms for disaster management in Indonesia.
  • Understand internationally accepted standards of humanitarian work.
  • Good managerial skills and results-based report writing.
  • Have a good relationship with local and central government.
  • Have a good relationship with civil society organizations network at the local and national level.
  • Have the skills to facilitate or lead meetings.
  • Computer literate, especially in Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Proficient in English actively.
  • Ready to work in a work environment that respects diversity and is non-discriminatory.
  • Willing to work with a flexible schedule, as well as travel to YAPPIKA-ActionAid work areas.
