Access to Justice and Human Rights Intern - American Bar Association | USA

The ABA Rule of Law Initiative seeks an intern for its Access to Justice and Human Rights Focal Area based in Washington, DC. The intern will be responsible for conducting research, developing new materials, and creating and managing a newsletter and list serve.  


Additional tasks may include some event planning and proposal development.


Specific duties will include researching developments in the access to justice/human rights field, creating and distributing a monthly newsletter with updates to both field offices and headquarters, managing a list serve, organizing panels and seminars, and assisting with proposal development as needed.


The ideal candidates will possess some legal experience or knowledge. Law students and recent law graduates are desired. Excellent research and writing skills and previous office experience are required. Event planning experience is preferred.
