Natural Resource Management (NRM) and Climate Change Advisor, Ethiopia
We are currently seeking a long-term Natural Resource Management (NRM) and Climate Change Advisor for an anticipated multiyear program in Ethiopia. The project aims to increase incomes and improve the resiliency and adaptive capacity of pastoral communities to climate change through market expansion. The Advisor will lead the integration of climate change activities and will undertake evidence-based analysis related to climate change adaptation in pastoral areas.
Qualifications: • Advanced degree in environmental studies, NRM, agriculture, livestock, development studies or related topic from an accredited university is required. • Minimum five years of work experience, with progressive growth in responsibility, in technical areas of pastoral land management, NRM or climate change adaptation. • Minimum five years of advocacy in pastoral areas in relation to NRM, land tenure or land management. • Demonstrated experience in research analysis, report writing and advocacy. • Prior USAID project management experience preferred. • Strong oral and written communications skills required.
