September 2014 (or as soon as possible) Description FLOCERT’s Business Development department explores market areas beyond the traditional Fairtrade certification services and is in charge of development, marketing and sales of existing and new services. Your job as Climate & Verification expert is to develop and manage FLOCERT’s services in carbon and water footprinting. You will have to coordinate the delivery of footprints and the further development of the footprint services defining pricing, partner management and go-to-market strategies. Moreover, you will collaborate with Fairtrade International on set-up and implementation of the Fair Carbon Credits standard, where FLOCERT acts as the single certifier for Fairtrade. Responsibilities Collaboration within cross-departmental project teams • Deliver carbon and water footprints  Screen, select and build relationships with partners in the area of environmental services Align with the Operations Department of FLOCERT and the Regional Offices on the delivery strategy of the footprints (work in matrix structure) Work with the sales and communications team to develop the pricing and go to market strategies for footprints and promote these services to existing and potential customers, (e.g. attend relevant industry events, customer meetings and fairs) Align with Fairtrade International on the development and roll-out of Fair Carbon Standard  Give expert support to FLOCERT Scheme Manager in the development of the certification system for the Fair Carbon Credit standard  Support verification manager in product development and customization activities as well as pre-sales activities around new services Qualifications   “Must haves” University degree (either BA, MBA or other) or equivalent education  At least 3 years of professional experience in the area of carbon footprinting and climate change validation & verification in the agricultural / food sector Experience in customer management Explicit project management skills Excellent Business English  Strong cross-cultural communication skills  Flexible and entrepreneurial working attitude  Dedicated Team player who can work in cross-functional teams  Savvy handling of MS Office (Powerpoint, Excel) and Database-Systems “Nice to have” Experience in water footprinting and LCA  Advanced German and/or Spanish language skills  Further language skills (e.g. French)  Experience in verification or certification and/or experience in a social business environment  Experience in auditing and/or verification of environmental services in an Certification Body  Experience in working in a multi-stakeholder environment How to apply   Do visit our website: HERE Please apply by submitting your application documents in English, with curriculum vitae, reference letters or reference contact data as well as a motivation letter with salary indication.
