SEEDS Job Volunteer: Microfinance Projects Manager - Geneva, Switzerland

TIME COMMITMENT: Min. 50% of time in Seeds office
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Microfinance Projects Manager serves as the focal point for the coordination of Seeds’ microfinance projects, monitoring the review of field reports, the preparation proposals, the research and the development of training materials for partners. The Projects Manager will offer guidance to the field project coordinator and will work in conjunction with our board member who is an expert in microfinance.
This position offers the opportunity to develop microfinance project management skills and it requires a highly motivated, flexible self-starter.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Tasks will include:
  • Monitoring the research of new micro finance partners
  • Coordinate the reviewing and completing of micro finance project proposals
  • Coordinate the reviewing of financial and narrative reports from the field
  • Ensuring that proper technical support is provided: monitoring the development of tools and other training materials for microfinance partners in the field
  • Other tasks as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • English fluency or C1-2 level competence and C1-2 French level
  • Some knowledge or experience in finance or business administration
  • Ability to work independently and to be proactive
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to manage people effectively
  • Ability to identify needs and priorities and respond accordingly
